PTC Premier Skills Class - Tuesday April 28th 7pm to 9pm
(Formerly "Draw from Holster" Class)
Ideal for anyone who has ever taken or will take a Permit to Carry Class and asked, how do I get more practical training? Safety, Confidence, and Proficiency are at the core of the experience in this Premier Skills Class. The 2 hours are split between in class presentation and a simplified down range shooting portion for anyone who has not had a down range training experience. Anyone wanting a formal training to compliment their daily carry will find this to be an ideal course to meet their needs.
Beginning with a presentation on skills, equipment, and theory for being a proficient Permit to Carry holder the most modern methods for carry are discussed in depth. The presentation wraps up with a walk through of range commands and a safety brief.
The down range portion begins with live fire demonstrations from one of the instructors down range. The demonstration will then be repeated as a drill by students in the course and adjustments will be suggested for fast and efficient skill development. Individual skills that are covered include how to efficiently draw from the holster and engage a target, follow up shots, and reholstering a loaded handgun safely.
All instruction materials, range time, and targets are provided by The Modern Sportsman. Eye and ear protection are also provided.
Requirements: Firearm and associated holster (IWB or OWB), 75 rounds of ammo (brass case). Ammunition available in store. (No rentals available)
