The Modern Sportsman

All sessions begin at 7:00pm. It is strongly recommended you take the classes in order.

Defensive Pistol Skills (DPS) is a beginner to intermediate 3 hour class that rotates through four different topics that runs on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Students will learn the necessary skills to build their safety, proficiency, and confidence with a handgun, preparing themselves for real world carry situations and more advanced courses.

Topics covered include: Holster Skills, Defensive Weapon Manipulations, Defensive Movement Drills & Low Light Inoculation. 

Cost: $80 per Session.

Required Equipment:

• A semi-automatic handgun in a realistic defensive caliber such as 9mm.
• A Kydex OWB (outside the waistband) or a Kydex IWB (inside the waistband) holster.
• Ability to carry 2 spare magazines. 
• 3 total magazines required.
• Appropriate range attire.
• Ear & Eye Protection.
• Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition.

It is also strongly recommended that students complete a basic/introductory pistol class before attending.
